This track facilty is the original 1968 Olympic trials track that was used to prep that great team for Mexico City.  At the Olympic Trials four years ago, several of the former stars came and toured the old site on top of Echo Summit 7300 feet.

This is the track of John Carlos, Tommie Smith, Jimmy Hines, Lee Evans, Larry James, Bill Toomey, Bob Beamon, just to name a few.

The track now sits in South Lake Tahoe at 6250 feet about 20 minutes from it's original site on Echo.
