2005 Legends of Cross Country
Fernandez and Sillitoe Elected as Legends from
Class
of 2004
Kelly Fernandez, of Silverado H.S. and Josh Sillitoe
from Basic H.S. have been elected to the Southern Nevada Cross
Country Legends Hall of Fame by garnering at least 75% of the votes
from local coaches and fellow Legends.
Blake Schlotzhauer, who attended Centennial H.S.
until he moved out of state at the end of his junior year, was the
only other candidate who received at least 50% of the votes. As a
result Blake will remain on the ballot for 2005 and further
consideration.
Kelly and Josh were clearly the “head of the class”
as each was named on over 80% of the ballots. They will be honored
at the ninth annual Legends Run to be held at Lorenzi Park the first
Saturday in August and sponsored this year by the Las Vegas Track
Club in support of their scholarship program.
