Those names in BOLD FACE would have to be voted in. I'm proposing a final list of between 15-30 names of good candidates from Nevada not including the Southern Region.
 

Candidates can be athletes who ran for a Nevada high school more than one year. This excludes "one-year wonders" (who were not a state champ) and exchange students, who only ran for one year.  Track stats don't count. This is a Cross Country HOF. Boys can go back as far as 1972; girls go back as far as 1972. Athletes only. (We can deal with the subject of letting coaches in at another time.) Candidates must have previously graduated or be a member of the current graduating class.

Voting for the HOF would be limited to coaches, both active and retired, but a candidate can be nominated by anyone registered on the NTS Message Board. In order to be considered for the list of candidates up for election, a candidate must be nominated by at least three Message Board members.

Once a list of candidates is finalized, the list will be published and the rules for election to the HOF will be presented. (Current thinking is that a candidate must be named on 75% of the ballots. Those not elected but named on at least 50% of the ballots would be carried over to the next year.) Voters would be able to name a maximum number of candidates on their ballot--probably 10 (as is done with the Baseball HOF).
