Reed Sparks Rotary Invitational http://www.washoe.k12.nv.us/reed/Athletics/rotary.htm Welcome back to this year’s Reed Sparks Rotary Invitational. Hopefully this year we will not have unseasonable weather for the meet. Due to our continual growth (over 1700 athletes entered last year) we will offer on-line entry for the standard entry fee or faxed/mailed entries for a $30 surcharge per school. We are still upgrading our Finishlynx, results and message board system to present you the best meet possible. The format of the meet will be run similar to years past with a few changes. Due to some athletes and teams not competing with safety in mind the Steeple Medley has been replaced with a return of Friday night’s distance medley relay. Also to deal with increased entries, the Varsity Girls Triple Jump has been moved to Friday. With our new crowd favorite the “Coaches Handicap 100 Meter Dash” we have added a new event the “Football 40 Yard Dash” for varsity athletes only. Put your team’s fastest on the line against another school’s quickest short sprinter. Only five running events will take place on Friday night. Note the on Friday will have the VG 100m trials to start the events. We look forward to having you at the meet again this year.
